Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 in 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. He is considered one of the best tight ends to ever play. In addition to being the NFL's leader for receiving yards, and the third-highest total of receptions, Gonzalez was one of the NFL tight end who had the most receptions.

The former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as an FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez was an anchor for FOX NFL KICKOFF and FOX NFL KICKOFF. FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame program which airs before FOX NFLSUNDAY. The show airs at 11:00 AM ET each Sunday throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez's claim to be retiring from the NFL following 2013 is not the case. The 15th of March, 2013 Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons a 2-year contract for $14 million. After the departure of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez spent his last season as the league's top player in yards receptive.
