Allison Cara Tolman has been an actor for more than twenty years. She is best known for her character Molly Solverson in the first season of the FX TV show Fargo. Career Highlights In 2014, Tolman starred in the debut episode of FX black comedy crime series Fargo. Fargo was based on Coen Brothers' 1996 film with the same title. The show starred Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman as well as Bob Odenkirk. Tolman was praised for her performance as Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair wrote that Tolman "calmly, assuredly stole" the show. Critics' Choice Television Award Best Supporting Actress in a Film/Miniseries. The same year, it was announced that Tolman will make an appearance on the Mindy project as Abby Berman who is a romantic author. Tolman's breakthrough role in the film as Fargo was the reason she decided to leave numerous supporting roles, including those of mothers, best friends and wives. Tolman was searching for new roles that were more unusual. Tolman was a part of the ABC drama series Downward Dog in 2017, Based on the Animal Media Group's online series. The show was cancelled after one season. Tolman, who is an active Twitter user, stated that she earned "pretty remarkable" results in The ABC show Emergence. The show premiered in September 2019, but it was cancelled after one season that ended on May 21, 2020. She was also a guest star on the NBC show Good Girls. She played Alma Filcott, in the second series in the series Why Women Kill.
